Living an Attitude of Gratitude

Day 977

Today I am thankful:

That my unexpected CT scan today showed no blood clot and a reduction in all but one tumor.

Because my team is super responsive to any issue that comes up for me – when I called today because of my breathing problems, they reacted right away.

For books and my Kindle and games on Facebook that keep my occupied when I can’t sleep.

  1. Freecell’s my go-to. Fairly well mindless, yet engaging enough to hold my attention. May you have a book-free, Kindle-free, internet game-free evening, and some nice sleep, instead.

  2. Good news amidst the chaos and crap. I’m glad you got that checked out and it’s not the blood clot or pneumonia! I hope and pray it all eases up and lets you sleep tonight. xoxoxo

    • Thank you, Sharon. Between the steroids and the inhaler, who knows whether I can sleep. My PA also told me to try sleeping sitting up – yeah right!

      • My husband can sleep anywhere anytime, even sitting up…when he has a bad cold and can’t stop coughing, he’ll often sleep in the lazyboy recliner. I can’t do that. I have to be lying down to sleep. Which makes long-distance traveling very tiring, because I can’t sleep in an airplane or train. I suppose if you get tired enough you might be able to drowse off for a few moments at a time. I hope and pray that the night somehow ends up being more peaceful and restful than seemingly interminable…

      • I have to be lying down, too. And on my stomach, which makes the reflux worse when it’s acting up. I’ll just have to do the best I can. 😀

  3. Really? I don’t really know what to say. I ache for you and for all that you have to suffer these days. I say these other things because it’s what I wish and hope for you. But words seem terribly inept sometimes. ❤

  4. Happy Happy Time!!! Good news!!! Yay!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Do you see a difference between a Kindle and an IPad for reading books? I mean a significant difference. I LOVE my Ipad because I can get a book right away! Libraries here have everything mainly in Swedish …of course.

But now you need some very good rest. Do they know why you are having a breathing problem?
Ruth, so many Hugs!!!! I hope that you get some rest. And I am sending you lots and lots of love. You have a lot to contend with, dear girl ❤️❤️❤️

    • I had the original Kindle after doing tons of research, and my partner bought it for me as a gift. My newer Kindle is the Fire HD. I like the Kindle but haven’t used an iPad, so there’s no way for me to compare. And the breathing issues are probably because of aspiration pneumonia – the whole saga is on my other blog.
