Living an Attitude of Gratitude

Day 1,038

Today I am thankful:

For the medication to help make it easier for me to swallow. It’s a mixture of Benadryl, Maalox, and Lidocaine. I hope it works- if taste is anything to go by it should work wonders ’cause it tastes nasty.

Because it’s supposed to get below freezing tonight for the first time this season – and our heat is on and working.

For the local organization that works hard to save heritage native seeds.

  1. So much for that “spoonful of sugar helping the medicine to go down”, LOL. I hope it works though. My Mom had to get radiation treatment for her breast cancer, and I remember the problems with swallowing that she experienced for awhile. I hope yours feels relief quickly. xoxoxox

  2. No chocolate flavoured? Then again, that might ruin your taste for chocolate forever. Don’t want to risk that!!!

  3. That reminds me of a story, back in the 80’s, I had to take some horrible medicine, and they gave me 7-up to drink with it to make it easier to take. I’ve never been able to drink 7-up again. I can drink ginger ale, or other white sodas (though I rarely drink soda), but cannot stomach 7-up, it makes me gag now. Interesting phenomena. I’m glad they didn’t give me chocolate milk!
