Living an Attitude of Gratitude

Day 1,039

Today I am thankful:

For classic movies like “The African Queen”, “Casablanca”, “Gone With the Wind”, and the ability to own them.

For Spud, who thinks he must run outside every time an emergency vehicle goes by so he can howl and help them along.

And for Spud’s songs when he sings for his breakfast and for his dinner and when he sings to people and dogs and cats walking past the house. He really is such a cute little love sponge.

  1. I think you should write a book of anecdotal stories about Spud. I think it would turn out to be a beautiful anthology of love.

  2. Angelika Schwarz on said:

I love the name Spud. We named our dogs: Hexe, which means witch in German, Daisy, and Waldi… 🙂

  3. When I first saw Spud, he was bouncing up and down in the kennel at the Humane Society. I thought he might be a cross between a Spaniel and a Poodle – a Spoodle. Turns out he’s a full-bred poodle so Spoodle got shortened to Spud. 😀
