Living an Attitude of Gratitude

Day 1,051

Today I am thankful:

Because I accomplished drinking a whole container of ‘supplemental nutrition’. It took all day, but I persisted and did it. Progress.

Because the throat pain seems to have moved higher, which means it should be easier to hit with the lidocaine concoction.

Because I slept well last night but still feel as if I could fall asleep now.

  1. Hurray for celebrating the small – not so small – accomplishments and triumphs!! Your body will hopefully be also celebrating all those nutrients swooshing through it now! I love that you continue to write this Gratitude blog. ❤

  2. I’m glad you didn’t drop it. I’ve thought of dropping mine too, but I miss it when I don’t write in it for a couple of days. I really look forward to yours.

  3. I look forward to your blog, too, Ruth. It gives me a chance to pause in the day and consider all that I have to be grateful for — as well as a chance to keep up with you.

And good for you, for getting that nutritional drink down. Terrible, for one of life’s pleasure to turn into a torment.

  4. Glad you are getting some nutrition and some throat relief…And remember, naps are highly under-rated! I echo your fellow readers–I look forward to your blog every day. Big hugs.

  5. I’m also glad you write your blog. Each evening I look forward to reading it. You encourage my gratitude for so many things, particularly the joy in the ordinary.

  6. Thank you all for the encouragement. If you’ve been following me for a while, I think you probably know how hard some days are, and how hard it might be to find gratitude.

  7. It often leaves me speechless and awed how you can find things to be grateful for some days. I think I speak for many of us, we know the hell you’re going through. Which makes this gratitude blog that much more incredibly inspiring.
